About the FIlm
"What about the nose?" invites a new appreciation for our sense of smell. The short animation was created by filmmaker Anna Lindemann and scientist Albana Kodra based on research on the olfactory system conducted by Albana Kodra at the Lomvardas Lab at Columbia University.
"What about the nose?" was created as part of the 2019 Imagine Science Symbiosis Competition supported through Science Sandbox, a Simons Foundation initiative dedicated to inspiring a deeper interest in science. During the Symbiosis Competition, six filmmakers were paired with scientists and each pair had one week to conceive and create a short work of science cinema on the theme of Emergence.
Premiere | October 25, 2019, Imagine Science Film Festival, Caveat, New York, NY
